Submission Guidelines

Authors should submit an extended abstract in English, carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling.

Please check the paper format so that you may be aware of the page limits.

Registration Sheet

2. Extended abstracts must be made to the following specifications (e.g., font, size and style) and templates.

-All articles must be printed on A4 sheets (297 mm × 210 mm). All printed material, including text, equations, illustrations, and charts, must be kept within a print area of 170 mm wide by 257 mm high.

-All text must be in a two-column format.

-All papers must be in English and set in Times New Roman (or an equivalent typeface).

The extended abstract cannot exceed 2 pages.

3.Please fill out the registration sheet.

4. Please e-mail your extended abstract and registration sheet to isciu8@gmail.com .

Please submit all documents in Microsoft Word (2003, 2007 or 2010).

Deadline for Extended Abstracts and Registration Sheets: August 31 ,2012

Camera-ready:

After the reviewing process is completed, the author (the author who submits the paper) of each submitted paper will be notified of the result, by e-mail. Authors are required to follow the review recommendations in order to improve their paper.

All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings.

For Authors from Overseas

-We will reimburse travel expenses of 50,000 yen to two overseas applicants.

-These two applicants will be decided by the quality of their submissions.

Registration Fees

Authors must register at the Registration Counter which will be located at Ibaraki University.

Registration Fees:

• High School Students : FREE

• University Students, Others : 3,000 yen

Registration fees do NOT include Banquet Fees.

Banquet Fees:

• 500 yen

Only students who attend the conference are eligible for the student banquet fee.

Presentation

The conference will be attended by many students with major in various disciplines. Therefore, presenter should present in an easily understood manner.

Oral Presentation

A presenter has 13 minutes.

Presentation time: 10 minutes

Discussion: 3 minutes

The presentation must use LCD projector (with a laptop computer e.g.MS-PowerPoint presentation).

Presenter should bring presentation file stored on USB flash momory checkedfor virus beforehand.

Poster Presentation

Poster should be less than 85cm(35.1inch) wide and 120cm(47.2inch) long.

Presenter should put up poster in session room before Keynote lecture on 10th November(The first day of ISCIU8).

We will prepare the tool to put up poster in session room.
